I Cannot Remember My Mother －好像

hum while rocking my cradle.

外望持久的蓝天
我好像觉得
母亲凝住我的目光
充满了整个苍穹
泰戈尔的母亲逝世时，这位印度诗人还非长期青。1922年，当他创作这首诗时，泰戈尔已经61岁了。一位花甲老人回忆自己的母亲，不曾音容笑貌这样透彻的画面记忆，留下的反而是歌声、气息、母亲的目光和爱意。
1861年5月7日，泰戈尔出生在印度西孟加拉邦加尔各答，他一生用孟加拉文创作了大量文学著作，在世界的文学界有很大的波及力。其著作包罗《飞鸟集》、《新月集》、《园丁集》等65本诗集，当中《吉檀迦利》为亚洲文学界拿下了首个诺贝尔文学奖。此外，他还出版了15部中长篇小说，23部散文集和56部戏剧。在1941年的时候以80岁的高龄逝世。
